Job Overview
Rysun Labs Private Limited is looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Big Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable big data platforms. The role involves architecting data pipelines, handling large-scale distributed systems, and providing technical leadership to data engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable batch and real-time data processing systems
Build and optimize data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop
Architect data lakes and lakehouse solutions
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance
Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
Mentor and guide junior data engineers
Collaborate with product, analytics, and ML teams
Implement data security, governance, and compliance best practices
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues in production
Required Skills
Strong expertise in Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop ecosystem
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
Strong SQL and data modeling skills
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Oozie)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Knowledge of data lakes, Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi
Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB)
CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in Big Data / Data Engineering roles
Proven experience designing large-scale distributed data systems
Experience in leading or mentoring data engineering teams
Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
