Title: Chief Accountant Officer
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Accountant / Chief Accounts Officer to lead and oversee the organization’s accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning to support business objectives.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the entire accounting function and finance team
Oversee preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and tax regulations
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure timely closure of audit findings
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance
Establish and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for decision-making
Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
Support business growth initiatives, mergers, and financial restructuring if required
Education / Certification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
Strong experience in finalization of accounts and statutory audits
Expertise in taxation, budgeting, and financial analysis
Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
