Title: Senior Accountant
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial planning, audits, and process improvement while supporting business decision-making with reliable financial insights.
Role & Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee junior accounting staff
Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements
Handle GST, TDS, income tax filings, and other regulatory compliances
Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit queries
Perform bank, ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely closures
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Analyze financial data and provide reports to management
Improve accounting processes and internal controls
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Education / Certification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and compliance
Experience in finalization of accounts and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar)
Expertise in taxation, audits, and statutory filings
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate with team members
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
