Job Title: Sr. Design Engineer (Ducting/Piping)
Location: Ahmedabad, India
Experience: 7-8 Years
CTC: ₹45K – ₹50K per month

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Design Engineer (Ducting/Piping) to lead the design and implementation of HVAC ducting and piping systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in system design, material selection, and industry standards, ensuring high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting: Develop detailed HVAC ducting and piping layouts using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM software.
Ducting & Piping Calculations: Perform heat load, static pressure, and dynamic pressure loss calculations.
Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials (GI, MS, SS, PPR, Copper, etc.) for ducting and piping systems.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, and NBC standards.
Airflow & CFD Analysis: Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis for system optimization.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate HVAC designs.
Site Supervision: Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation.
Cost Estimation & BOQ: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and assist in cost estimation for projects.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Analyze system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Team Management: Guide and mentor junior engineers and draftsmen.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7-8 years of experience in HVAC ducting and piping design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM modeling.
Strong knowledge of duct sizing, pipe routing, and load calculations.
Understanding of HVAC codes & standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NBC).
Experience with pressure drop calculations, CFD analysis, and airflow balancing.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in BIM coordination and MEP design.
Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems.
Familiarity with HVAC software like HAP, TRACE 700, or Carrier E20.
