Job Overview:
As an L1 Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end users and troubleshooting software applications. You will assist in resolving issues related to applications, performing basic system administration tasks, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams.
Responsibilities:
– Provide first-level technical support to end users experiencing issues with software applications.
– Resolve software application problems and document solutions for future reference.
– Perform basic system administration tasks such as user account management, software installations, and configuration.
– Collaborate with other support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
– Follow established procedures for incident management and ticket resolution.
– Communicate effectively with end users and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
– Basic knowledge of operating systems, databases, and software applications.
– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work well in a team environment.
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+) are a plus.
– No prior work experience required, but internships or coursework related to application support is beneficial.
