Rysun Labs Private Limited is looking for an experienced Database Lead (SQL) to lead database architecture, performance optimization, and operational excellence across enterprise applications. The role involves managing large-scale databases, ensuring high availability, and providing technical leadership to database and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead database design, architecture, and optimization initiatives
Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Ensure database performance, scalability, and high availability
Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards
Monitor database health and troubleshoot performance issues
Lead database migrations and upgrades
Collaborate with application, data, and infrastructure teams
Mentor DBAs and developers on database best practices
Maintain database documentation, standards, and governance
Required Skills
Advanced SQL expertise and performance tuning skills
Strong experience with RDBMS (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle)
Deep understanding of indexing, execution plans, and query optimization
Experience with database monitoring and performance tools
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data integration
Experience with cloud databases (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Scripting skills for automation (Shell / Python / PowerShell)
Strong understanding of data security and compliance
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in database development, administration, or leadership roles
Proven experience leading database teams or initiatives
Expertise in handling large-scale, high-availability databases
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
