Salary Range: ₹7 – ₹8 LPA
Shift: General Shift
Working Days: 5 Days a Week (6 Days on Business Need Basis)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Automation Tester for our Chennai-based team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber framework, API testing (Postman), and SQL. This role is focused on ensuring high-quality code and robust testing practices in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts.
Drive test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for various stages of the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to create unit, integration, and user acceptance tests.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
Analyze production issues and work toward enhancing test coverage to prevent recurrences.
Enhance and maintain test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, etc.).
Write and validate SQL queries to ensure accurate backend data validation.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Mandatory Skills:
Automation Tools: Selenium, Cucumber Framework
API Testing: Postman, SOAPUI
Database: SQL
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Good understanding of test automation frameworks
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in an Agile development environment
Familiarity with CI/CD tools is a plus
Exposure to code versioning tools like Git
