Job Description
FIRE PROJECTS PVT. LTD. is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Hydrant Design Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in designing fire fighting and fire hydrant systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of fire protection system design, hydraulic calculations, and relevant safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fire hydrant systems as per NFPA and IS standards
Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing
Select pumps and prepare technical specifications
Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and material take-offs
Create GA drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD
Coordinate with project execution and site teams
Assist in tender preparation and technical documentation
Conduct site visits when required
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and local authority norms
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of fire fighting and hydrant systems
Understanding of NFPA standards and IS codes
Experience in hydraulic calculations and pump selection
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Good command of MS Excel for technical calculations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and coordination ability
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate (Mechanical / Civil / Fire Engineering preferred)
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in fire system design
Strong technical and documentation skills
