Title: Tester Lead (QA Lead)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tester Lead (QA Lead) to oversee the quality assurance process across software projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining testing strategies, leading QA teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to maintain quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Role & Responsibilities
Define and implement test strategies, plans, and quality standards
Lead and manage a team of manual and automation testers
Review test cases, test scripts, and test execution results
Ensure thorough functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Oversee automation testing frameworks and test suite maintenance
Coordinate UAT activities and support business users
Track, manage, and report defects and quality metrics
Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution
Integrate testing activities into CI/CD pipelines
Identify quality risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum practices
Provide regular quality status updates to stakeholders
Education / Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
Certifications such as ISTQB or automation testing certifications are a plus
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
Strong experience in manual and automation testing
Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
Experience in API testing and performance testing tools
Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools
Knowledge of CI/CD integration and DevOps practices
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
