Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of testing methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test plans.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for web and mobile applications.

Test Execution:

  • Manually test web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure they meet specified requirements.

Bug Tracking:

  • Document and track software defects, ensuring timely communication of issues to the development team.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve reported issues.

Test Documentation:

  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and results.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and quality standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project status, issues, and improvements.

Environment Setup:

  • Set up and configure testing environments for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure test environments accurately represent production configurations.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
  • Proven 1-3 years experience as a Manual Tester with a focus on web and mobile (Android & iOS) applications.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems like Jira.
  • Familiarity with various web and mobile platforms, browsers, and devices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
