About the Role:
We are looking for a UX Designer and Product Research Intern to help improve and develop design iterations for our AI-powered Shopify add-on app. This digital sales assistant will enhance product discovery and increase merchant conversions on Shopify. You will work on competitive research on the merchant side, design new features, and improve user experiences using Figma..
Responsibilities:
Conduct competitive research on similar products in the market.
Create and iterate on designs using Figma based on feedback and team discussions.
Collaborate and attend daily sync calls (post-college hours).
Work independently to enhance the design and user experience of our digital sales assistant chatbot.
Dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per day, 6 days per week, to the project.
Requirements:
Figma experience for creating designs and wireframes.
Prior experience in UI/UX design (a portfolio or previous Figma projects is a plus).
Open to candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, including engineering students looking to transition into design or product management.
Basic knowledge of front-end engineering (HTML, CSS, React) is a plus but not mandatory.
Familiarity with wireframing tools like Draw.io or Whimsical is a bonus, but Figma is the only required tool.

Hiring Process:
Initial screening with a 1-2 hour design assignment to assess your research and design approach.
Follow-up interview to discuss the assignment and your thought process.
The process will be completed within a week, aiming for a start date before the second week of October.
Internship Details:
Duration: Minimum of 1 month, with the possibility of extension to 2 months.
Remote, with daily sync calls.
No PPO (permanent placement offer) will be provided.
