Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Cloud Database Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning of SQL databases hosted on cloud platforms. This role requires deep expertise in cloud-based database technologies and a proactive approach to system reliability and data security.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL databases in cloud environments (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL)
Ensure database availability, performance, integrity, and security
Perform routine database backups, recovery, and patching
Automate database-related tasks using scripting and tools
Collaborate with developers and system administrators to ensure high system performance
Analyze and troubleshoot database issues, providing quick and effective resolutions
Optimize SQL queries and manage indexes to ensure peak performance
Required Skills:
Strong experience with cloud database platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL scripting
Experience in database backup and recovery strategies
Knowledge of database security best practices
Familiarity with performance monitoring and tuning tools
