Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to lead the development, customization, and optimization of advanced WordPress websites and applications. The role involves mentoring junior developers, ensuring code quality, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of WordPress websites and applications
Develop and customize complex WordPress themes and plugins
Optimize website performance, security, and scalability
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and tools
Review code and ensure best practices and coding standards
Mentor and guide junior developers
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, marketing, and backend teams
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions
Manage website deployments, updates, and backups
Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends and technologies
Education / Qualification
Graduate in Computer Science / IT or related field
Advanced WordPress development training or certification preferred
Knowledge / Skills
Strong expertise in WordPress core, PHP, MySQL
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with custom plugin and theme development
Knowledge of WordPress hooks, REST API, and Gutenberg
Experience with website security and performance optimization
Familiarity with Git and version control
Understanding of SEO best practices
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
