Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web and software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing test strategies, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to deliver high-quality, bug-free products.
Responsibilities:
– Analyze project requirements and prepare detailed test plans and test cases.
– Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
– Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
– Collaborate closely with developers to understand issues and ensure timely resolution.
– Execute test cases and validate fixes across different testing cycles.
– Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
– Conduct basic database testing using SQL queries.
– Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback.
– Ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards.
– Maintain proper test documentation, reports, and test results.
– Support UAT and production releases when required.
Requirements and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
– 2–5 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
– Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and methodologies.
– Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
– Experience in writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
– Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
– Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
– Experience with API testing tools is an added advantage.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
– Hands-on experience testing web or software applications.
– Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plus.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
