Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to provide technical assistance and support to our users. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and ensuring that our employees have seamless access to technology resources.

Responsibilities:

– Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues.
– Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
– Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
– Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and other systems.
– Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place and functioning effectively.
– Collaborate with other IT team members to implement technology projects.
– Train users on new software applications and hardware devices.
– Document and maintain records of IT support activities.

Requirements and Skills:

– At least 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or in a similar role.
– Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
– Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and other IT systems.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
– Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent (preferred).
