Job Overview
BestPeers is looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data availability for analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes.
Process large-scale datasets using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows.
Implement data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
Stay updated with the latest data engineering tools and technologies.
Required Skills
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
Expertise in SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Hive.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Airflow, Talend, Informatica, or dbt.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience in data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and workflow automation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Proven experience in building scalable and reliable data systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
