Job Overview:
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the verification and credentialing of healthcare providers in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. They maintain accurate provider databases and ensure all credentials are up-to-date.

Responsibilities:
– Verify and credential healthcare providers according to established protocols.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider databases.
– Communicate with providers to obtain necessary documentation.
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve credentialing issues.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
– Monitor and track credentialing deadlines and requirements.
– Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives related to credentialing processes.

Requirements Skill:
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in credentialing within a healthcare setting.
– Knowledge of credentialing standards and regulations.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Proficient in using credentialing software and databases.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification preferred.
– Proven experience in credentialing healthcare providers.
– Familiarity with credentialing software and databases.
– Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards in healthcare.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
