Job Title: Collections Manager

Job Overview:
The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the credit and collections processes for the organization. They ensure timely collection of payments from customers, minimize bad debts, and maintain effective communication with clients to resolve outstanding issues.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement collection strategies to meet revenue goals
– Monitor accounts receivable aging and track collection efforts
– Manage a team of collection specialists and provide guidance and support
– Review and analyze customer accounts to determine appropriate collection actions
– Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve outstanding balances
– Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address customer concerns
– Prepare reports on collection activities and progress towards targets

Requirements and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
– At least 10 years of experience in credit and collections, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
– Strong knowledge of collection laws and regulations
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
– Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals
– Proficient in using collections software and MS Excel

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
– 10 years of experience in credit and collections
– Strong leadership skills
– Proficiency in financial analysis
– Knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
