Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Academic Counselor to provide guidance and support to students in their academic pursuits. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of academic programs, and the ability to assist students in setting and achieving their educational goals.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct individual advising sessions with students to discuss academic goals and progress
– Provide guidance on course selection, program requirements, and degree planning
– Assist students in overcoming academic challenges and developing effective study skills
– Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and retention
– Stay informed about academic policies, procedures, and resources to provide accurate information to students
– Maintain detailed records of student interactions and progress

Requirements and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or counseling role
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of academic programs, curricula, and educational pathways
– Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
– Familiarity with student information systems and advising software

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or counseling role
