Title: Senior SAP Finance Functional Expert
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Finance Functional Expert to lead, design, and deliver SAP Finance solutions that support the organization’s financial operations and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and strong business process knowledge to drive system implementations, optimizations, and continuous improvements.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP Finance (FI/CO) implementations, enhancements, and support activities
Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA Finance / ECC FI modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting
Manage financial closing, reporting, and reconciliation processes
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and translate financial requirements into SAP solutions
Design and implement financial controls, compliance, and audit-ready processes
Support S/4HANA migrations and system upgrades
Ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, PP, and other SAP modules
Lead UAT, testing, cutover, and go-live support
Provide expert guidance on IFRS, GAAP, taxation, and statutory reporting
Develop functional specifications and system documentation
Mentor junior SAP consultants and provide functional leadership
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
Collaborate with technical teams for developments, enhancements, and issue resolution
Education / Certification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
SAP S/4HANA Finance / FI certification is highly preferred
Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP ECC FI
Strong functional expertise in FI and CO modules
Hands-on experience with configuration, implementation, and support
Deep understanding of financial accounting, controlling, and reporting
Experience with SAP Fiori Finance Apps and analytics
Knowledge of financial compliance, audits, and internal controls
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to lead projects and manage stakeholder expectations
